Tim says, "been there...done that."

Tim says, "don't need no old people from New York...just need a change of scenery."

nuff said...good luck, Tim.

This may be hard to take but not every kid in this area wants to play for LSU. That is just a fact.

Can you imagine a stud recruit basically in HS on the Alabama campus going anywhere other than Alabama?

I don't, and it does seem to happen to LSU more than other schools.

At the beginning of this football season, I thought he was an important recruit for the Tigers to land. But now to look at the caliber of defensive linemen committed to LSU & who is still considering the Tigers, I think LSU will do just fine without him.

I doubt that 'Bama really wants him either.

Saban will take him to create another tie to Louisiana kids.

You can bank on that.

Wouldn't matter. Who's he going to get from U-High? Brumfield isn't likely and Brossette is an extreme longshot. Williams is more a we don't want than he don't want, at least at this point. Doesn't mean he would've signed with LSU but we're not even giving him the choice at the moment. Speaks volumes imo. His situation is similar to Avery Johnson's last year with one caveat, we were always gonna take Avery. Both had not so impressive sr years and had questionable things happen that caused the staff some concern.

Are those quotes actually officially said from Tim? If so, good luck Tim and hope you become a great player! If not, GET THE FRICK OUT!
I think from a recruiting perspective we are good. With Beckwith (could play DE) and RN still on the board-- could end great! (Even without Tim).

Supposedly we backed off. The he will always have a home diesnt necessarily mean a scholly. The coaches have obviously been keeping an eye on this kid a while and maybe would help the kid out if needed. He does currently attend school on campus. Coaches also have kids at the school and on the football team. They know more ab this kid than any of us.

I have a problem with him taking a coveted spot at the LSU Lab School, then not wanting to go to College here. Its not easy to get into this school, and I doubt TW was accepted because of his high academic possibilities, so one would think he may have a little loyalty to LSU.

In state kids or on campus kids? Big difference.

I could not disagree more. Plenty of U-High grads choose to go elsewhere.

And one of the few that post here is a current Alabama student.

And I don't understand how Tim is so distant from LSU. I mean, I don't know where he grew, but I do know he went to Glen Oaks before he went to U High. That's still BR.

You're either a Tiger or Tiger Bait. I think he just has his hands out and wants things.

Whole lotta rumors run a muck in this thread. Just let it be. He doesn't want to come here and our coaches were more than happy with that decision. Hopefully guys like Brumfield and Brosette show the home school some love because they are both vital recruits the next two years.

Yes, because of their Academic Prowess. They got in to the school because of political connections, employees of LSU, etc. Williams doesn't fit that bill. How many athletes from U- High go elsewhere when LSU wants them? Last one was Brad Banta in the 80's.

He wants to leave LA. He's made it very clear. He doesn't need to take an official to LSU. He's been here his whole life and he knows how great talent gets treated by the fans, staff, school, etc.

He is destined to leave. I just hope he doesn't stay in the SEC if he isn't at LSU.

Who cares? What difference does it make how they got into U-High or their reasons for going elsewhere for college? None of them owe LSU anything.

Is he supposed to go to LSU just because so many other U-High athletes have? Are all the athletes at Southern Lab supposed to go to SU?

Our coaches are the ones who made the decision to move on from him, anyway. It's his loss.

In pretty direct way, they do. There are dozens of teachers at U High that are graduate students at LSU. I worked with one a while back and saw her tests, quizzes, lecture planning, etc. She taught a sophomore biology class for a semester.

You know what I mean. They don't owe us anything, as in they don't have any obligation to LSU. They don't have to come here just because they went to U-High.

Obviously LSU is heavily responsible for their education. My ex did some of her student teaching there when she was in grad school.
