Gentlemen, I'm a hunter and am familiar with most firearms. However, when it comes to the AR platform I'm ignorant.
Never had a need or want for one but a friend has a Bushmaster Carbon 15 with a Bushnell optic on it. He's only shot 2 mags through it. He got a DUI needs cash. He says he paid $795 for it brand new. Wants $650 for it.
I would like to help the guy out but realistically I'm probably not going to do any more with it than take to the range.
Good deal? Good manufacturer? Good rifle?

Do not buy that gun for more than $500.
It's essientially a plastic AR. Composite upper & lower reciever.
Cabelas used to run sales on that package for ~$600.
