re: Official AR-15 thread

Whoa weird deal guess my deal to get this S&W MP AR just fell through. Read they following texts between me and the seller (nb4TL;DR):

Me: Hey sorry for the late text but just a thought:

Do you think it might be better to meet at a gun range?

I googled Gun Ranges in Tulsa and found:
2A Shooting Center at 4616 E Admiral right off of I244.

And they open right at 11am on Sundays so we can keep the same time.

Seller: Were you wanting to test the gun?

Me: Well if we are there yes I'd like to put one shot through it. Obviously I can do a function test on safety/trigger and make sure everything's smooth with the barrel, bolt carrier group, etc.

But also I was just thinking it might be safer for you and I both this day and age to do it in an indoor gun range as opposed to a broad daylight parking lot.

Seller: I'm going to pass. I have someone in tulsa and my part of town willing to purchase. Thanks though


Me: Definitely didn't mean for that to be a deal breaker and have funds ready to go to make this purchase and obviously highly interested.

Would it be okay if I called you?

And the guy "read" that last text (can tell via iMessage) and never responded.


I don't know if I genuinely just scared the guy or if I just saved myself from something super shady. What do you guys think?
