mine weren't rem. umc, but i got the same email last night..... end of feb, or in march.. i ordered in december...

I warned some guys in another thread that was going to happen. They are famous for extending backorders. I ordered some 223 in December of 2008 and they extended the backorder twice and eventually just canceled my order. I don't backorder shite with Cabelas' anymore.

I wonder if the ammo shortage will keep the crowds down out there?

What are your thoughts on an AR57? I have the chance to get one at regular pre panic pricing.

Yeah I'd say at least a little. Today was the prefect conditions and there was only 5-6 rifle ranges occupied at a time.

No, I was the prettier guy.

The rifle you were shooting had a mighty percussion. What caliber was that?

We went down to the skeet range later. The grass had been burned in what appeared to be a controlled fire. Is this done regularly to break down the broken clays?

57 ammo is hideously expensive and you dont even get the good stuff. Its fricking silly that you can buy m855 penetraitors but you cant buy proper 57. Are you going to sell the rifle or flip it? That is what should determine your decision. If you are going to keep it you have to consider your ammo situation. Without ammo its just an expensive cool looking paper weight.

That's what I hear about the ammo. It comes with a couple hundred rounds but that won't get you very far. If I bought it I would probably try to resell it or trade for something else. Just not sure what the demand for the 57 is at the moment.
