I would do the opposite. The 300 only needs 8" for full efficiency. The 5.56 needs far more.

I am so jelly. Is that an aimpoint optic? I cant see the whole thing. Oh and the OD green instead of the FDE is a nice touch

That's that forum he is talking about, extremely informative. And sammich they only make one billet upper, but the 3H is the billet lower that was designed to match it perfect. The 3S is the billet lower that goes with any upper. I had mentioned this at some point earliet in the thread, but this 3H will still work fine with any upper, all the lines just don't match up flush. So I just rocked the 3H with my BCM upper until I could get my hands on the matching upper. I love it, sexy as hell

Yeah its the Aimpoint PRO, what I use on both of my AR's. There's technically better options, but to me you can't beat its price.
ETA: here's an overall shot so you can see the optic and everything better. And yeah I agree wholeheartedly about the OD green, by far my favorite furniture color

Thanks for clarifying the link and recievers. I thought that you had that lower but wasn't positive. It looks much better with that billet upper. Guess I'll be building an upper too instead of buying an AAC one. Again, beautiful setup.

That rifle is begging to be shot. The more I see Mega's products the more I love them. A+ build. I cant wait to get this move out of the way so I can plan my next build.
