It's been a very good holiday season thus far. Most of my friends and employees know I'm a bourbon guy so I typically get a bottle or two each Christmas season. This year has been exceptional thus far..

Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Jefferson's Presidential Select, Thomas Handy Sazerac, EH Taylor Single Barrel, Van Winkle 12 Years and one of my personal favs good ol' Elijah Craig.

Pretty excited about the Jefferson's and the Handy Sazerac. I'm pretty inexperienced with rye whiskey and the Handy is bottled at 132 proof!

I know, cool story bro. Anybody else get a few gems already?

Yeah, I would have me a great deal of drunk nights in front of me if I had those bottles right now.

Both came from recommendations when I was in Nashville last weekend.

Far right is a Rowan's Creek from Kentucky.

The middle bottle is Corsair Quinoa Whiskey from Nashville.

You either have very good friends or fearful employees.

Probably a bit of both... In my defense, I do treat my employees pretty well and I'm pretty proud of the fact nobody has left me in the past 5 years.

Still sealed, been drinking some strong margaritas tonight but might make me just a little taste... Looks like it was the 2011 Gold Medal winner at the San Fran world spirits competition...

Just cracked it open, let me get a sprite...

Couple of cubes of ice and a splash of water, very nice. Bold on the front end and smooths off towards the end. This is a nice bottle of bourbon.

This is blasphemy!! Haha.

Man, my mouth is watering now. I can't wait to try it. The brother is a big whiskey drinker and has been in Russia for the past few years, so I'm hoping he will enjoy this.
