Espn has this new feature ranking team's status for the playoffs. LINK

One thing I didn't realize was that Indy was up to 9-4. Haven't seen them at all this year other than highlights. Didn't they go 0-16 last year.... Are they really this good this fast?

2-14.You would have heard about it if they had gone 0-16 bro. The Lions were the last team to accomplish that.

The Colts success is unexplainable statistically.

Luck and the ChuckStrong Mojo have taken them far

How is it unexplainable? Luck is a fricking beast especially at home.

Because they're like -41 in point differential. Next closest winning team is like +26.

They turn the ball over a shite ton and the defense barley ever forces turnovers

Contrary to popular (media fed) belief, Luck is not having a great year... at least statistically. He has come up very clutch though at the end of games and they have squeaked out a lot of their wins.

This, he's tied for the league lead in INT's, 31st out of 36 eligible in passer rating, 33rd out of 36 eligible in Completion %.

However, he finds a win to win games, which in the end is really all that matters, but is a team statistic.

Some of the stats are a little misleading. Luck has been pretty unlucky and made great development over the season. He throws it further past the line of scrimmage than any other QB per completion. His team is last in YAC, which can partially be attributed to Luck.

They have a shite running game and he is forced to make throws because they often find themselves behind. His number of attempts and dangerous passes naturally lead to INT's. Even though Luck's 2012 is not a statistical beauty, I think it trends way upwards for the future. He has been relatively unlucky in some circumstances and the INT's are not really a big deal because he is taking chances. He is also running a pretty complex offense and already runs a lot on his own. I am thoroughly impressed even with lower-end completion percentages and lots of picks.

Colts schedule is weak as shite. Only two wins over teams with winning records.

I typed that pretty fast and made some dumb typos. Anyways, I really like Luck and think he'll be fine. They rely on him a ton for only being a rookie. He's getting thrown right into the fire, so of course he'll make a lot of mistakes.

Stephen A Smith rips them in this clip, but with their schedule, they may actually make it in.
ESPN first take. Jets: a playoff team?

Point differential is an easily skewable stat, especially when the sample size is so small in the NFL.

They're 6-1 at home, completely different team when on the road unfortunately. I've seen probably 3 of their games this year and I can't help but draw comparisons between Luck and Manning.

Nah, your post was fine. I just love what Luck is doing. His workload is immensely more than any rookie.

The other guys still have training wheels on. Luck is riding a unicycle on a tightrope. There will be no setback for Luck when defenses figure out some of the other rookies to some extent because he is taking the lumps and absorbing it all now.

The crazy thing is that these first couple years would be chalked for Luck's development, but they are going to easily make the postseason. Scary high ceiling for this team in the future.

I thought it was the right move to get away from Manning and move to Luck. Manning will have 1-2 good years left, and then he will be retiring. Luck is a quality QB which are increasingly hard to find. Indy made the right move her for the next decade if he continues to improve and stay healthy.
