Carlisle was a small school and used trick plays and throwing the ball to win, long before ND beat Army by throwing in 1913.
Carlisle beat Army running and throwing in 1912, also before the ND game the ND press wants everyone to think ND invented throwing.
Carlisle first passing game over 300 yards if I remember correct was in the 1906 season.
