Mike, are you saying the people in Prairieville that are blowing their perpetual load because a Sammy's is opening out there are not cool??
Let's just say that people tend to move to places that most fit their personality. It's not really a slap, and I don't think it's their fault really, as its just the fact that they haven't been exposed to much outside of the world in which they directly live in and are exposed to, so they don't think in these terms, but honestly, the vast majority of BR is not plugged in because they never or rarely leave the area, and when they do, it's usually to Destin or the like, places where they are familiar with and feel comfortable.

Let's just say you finding fault with the place people choose to live, choose to eat, what music they listen to, what they spend their money on is the height of pretension.

List the places outside the US that you have visited. You know the world so well, man. Also, the area (obviously you don't have to go into specifics like your address) where you live in BR. Unless it's any of the cool kid neighborhoods, and I doubt it is since you avoid the question, then you have zero ground to stand and chastise people.

Family of 4 living in BR vs a family of 4 living in another city(that is cool)....do you really think their lives will be much different? I don't they will do the same crap no matter where they live. ETA- a couple with no children could live different lives but families are pretty much going to have the exact same routine regardless of what city they live in.

TexasTiger, you're making this a personal vendetta about me, rather than addressing the issues I'm presenting. You don't live here, yet feel some compulsion to defend it because I suppose you have some ties here. That's great, but you no longer live here. It's not your fight. Relax. You can look at things honestly. It is good for you to be honest with yourself at times. Nobody is fooled about BR. They all get it.

No, I can't. The lame is incredibly strong with me. One thing I can't stand is people holding themselves above others based on the way they choose to live their lives. Or things that aren't their business like where they vacation. My parent's who gasp! live in Prairieville taught me that.

The people are nice. Every hole in the wall restaurant has live music. Within a few hours of a decent beach. Not a bad thing. Life is what you make of it. You can be happy in almost any city it you want to. Moving won't automatically give you the life you want. You have to work at it. It doesn't just happen.

Contrary to popular opinion and the fact that it's a different incorporated city in another parish of Louisiana, Prarieville is not Baton Rouge. It's Prarieville, and it resides in Ascension Parish.

Awful soul-crushing traffic doesn't exist in every city. And you can't exactly make lemonade out of that big lemon.

And still over 2 threads on the same subject and being asked numerous times, you won't say what part of the city you live in. my guess is Zachary

Off Jefferson. Maybe now you can address the issues associated with BR and how we can make it a really desirable place to live. You're on the clock.

Had more to do with your views of people in Prairieville. And I have no personal vendetta against you. I'd respond the same way to anyone who posted the things you post. You're looking down at people for things that aren't your business. Reminds me of your totally uninformed Way to being a Chef thread. I asked you several times what position in a restaurant you worked, had to ask at least 5 times, and you finally put "i worked on the line", and didn't elaborate after taht. You looked down on people when you yourself were completely ignorant of the way things truly work. Same as this thread, and the other one, I asked what area you live in Br and you don't answer. Because you prob live in a side walked, squared off area with homes taht were built in the 70's or 80's.
