Another thing to consider is the source. If the ex-wife is putting this on FB without documentation, it's hearsay. When my ex's lips are moving, the maximum truth to expect to come out is 1/2.

I've never seen a kid "go bad" and blame it on the fact that his/her parents lied about Santa Claus. Seriously. Parents that take the time to make Christmas a magical time for their kids aren't generally the type to get that kind of vehemence.
ETA:
I think Dad is mad that Mom is putting more effort into Christmas than he is.
FWIW - I figured out/was told about Santa not being real when I was 8... which I think is pretty standard. He doesn't have too long to go as far as not being a prick is concerned if he's willing to put the slightest bit of effort into it.

I already stated "appropriate age" being the exception. There is an age they shouldn't believe anymore, but I don't really think that age is first grade.
I respect that some people might not do the whole "Santa" thing, but I think letting your kid go around spoiling it for others is immature. I stopped believing in Santa before most of my classmates, and I was strictly told not to tell them.

Not true at all. I figured it out on my own, asked Mom when we were out of town together alone, she told me the answer. I never asked before then.

Are you currently mad at your parents for not telling you earlier that santa wasn't real? By your logic, you are a little dissapointed in your parents for not being better parents, right?

To the OP, that was a dick move by the dad, assuming that they were both on board with the Santa/Easter bunny thing before they split up. But there are always two sides to a story, especially a Facebook one.
