If you had any reading comprehension, you would see I didn't offer a TV solution. The point of my thread was discussing if DEA and people who work in narcotics feel like they're making a difference? To ask if they feel or know their work is futile, and if so does just having a job enough to keep them going (self preservation). Drug incarcerations > serial killers

No dumbass. Looking at TV drama's like the wire to shape an opinion on the drug war is in no way even remotely close to thinking the premise of dexter is desirable in real life. Dexter is a cop, DA, judge, jury, and executioner all in one. Why on earth do you think that would be remotely plausible?

Couldn't you ask the same of cops, DS's, etc about the criminal justice system that turns baddies loose?

Why? If the War on Drugs is a miserable failure, couldn't you say the same about a criminal justice system that allows a lot of really bad people to prosper. Even if they are captured, convicted and sentenced to death(in states that allow this), the prospect of the sentence being carried out is a pretty distant reality. Consider the states that don't allow the death penalty. Serial killers get life in prison at taxpayer expense.

However bad you think the CJ system is, your "solution" is 100000x worse.

In regards to stupid policy that they have to deal with, yes. Punishing people for harming others is good policy. Punishing people for harming themselves is not.

If the others are valid why not Dexter?
Never watched it, but have a friend who loves it and he tells me some of the story lines. I kinda lie the idea, but it's better in theory than in practice. Cool idea though, as long as it's fantasy. I doubt I would be too upset with the guy if it was reality.

I see what you were trying to do, but truth is, you sucked at it really badly. Try again. 0/10
