Not sure about hunting, but if its the same as fishing, all you need is the residents license. Since TB is on the border both states respect the others licenses. I have heard that if you launch in TX you are suposed to have a TX license, but I have been stopped numerous times by both states green jeans and no one has said anything to me. I would call LDWF to make sure before I made my hunt though.

fwiw i hunted it the last few days. THOUSANDS of ducks on the lake but they are almost impossible to hunt. They all raft with the coots and don't decoy. It was easily the most ducks I have ever seen in my life.

Wow... That's interesting I always fish it in the spring and figured it would be loaded bc it looks so ducky, maybe try putting out two or three dozen coot decoys right outside of your spread and see if it makes the ducks work a little better

Probably need more than that. There were at the very least 1500-2000 coots in one big group by us. We are going to go back with a bunch of coot decoys eventually but i dont know if it will help. The ducks were hell bent on rafting with the coots. I want to go back and just video the shear number of birds.

It also might help if there are more hunters. Me and my buddy were the only 2 on the water.
