I need to give some very good reds to someone who did a huge favor for me this year. I don't know much about wines and I don't drink reds.

Any suggestions and also where might I order to have them sent to him?

I'm looking for 50-75 buck range and I'll probably send 2 or 3.

The Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy, the Mollydooker Gigglepot, the Orrin Swift Mercuryhead, Orrin Swift Pappilion, Beau Vigne Romeo, David Arthur Meritaggio, Shypoke 08 Sangiovese, Miner Sangiovese! Orrin Swift Palermo ( am drinking it now as I type-really nice) among a few.

Try a large format as well. A magnum or even bigger if justified.

Others to look at are Elhse, Biale, Zacherle (I'm waiting on these) David Arthur Elevation and the Mollydooker Velvet Glove are a bit more pricey but worth it.

Out of the above my favorite For the money is the David Arthur Meritaggio. It's about $55-$60 and it can be dangerous.

And any Mercury Head you find buy it.

Gris Gris, 11 of the 12 wines on my list are reds, so that's a good place to start. I also listed the retail prices. Any of the wineries in my list will ship their wines. Generally speaking you can count on a cost of about $20 to ship 3 bottles of wine.

Hope that helps.
