frick that school. Find a new school immediately. Or find a new job in a new city or state, forcing everyone to start over.

This would be self defense, the bully is the aggressor. I do agree we all have to fight sometimes, it's just a fact of growing up.

Going to school tomorrow and hitting the kid would not be self-defense.

The kid may not be able to defend himself. Especially when he gets blindsided walking into a gym...which is ridiculous...especially at school

Bullies only understand one thing, and that is a show of force. They thrive on exerting their will on those that they think weak and unable to defend themeselves. They don't attack targets they think will be able to fight back. They are the penultimate cowards, and until they find the tables turned on them, they won't learn. Turn the tables. Make them fear, because fear is the only thing they will really respond to. There needs to be a bully's bully, someone unafraid to step in and call them out, to place knuckle to nose and make them bleed. Someone they fear reprisal from, whom they speak of in hushed whispers, whom they check their closets for at night. They need a bogeyman.

This is very true. Bullies will only stop out of fear. Fear is a powerful tool and should be used in a situation like this. Someone needs to find a way to confront this little shite alone and make him understand it would be quite easy to leave him face down in a shallow ditch on a very remote dirt road.

Is there an award for biggest pussy in this thread? No way should someone not defend themselves because of fear of getting sued. You are the reason this country has been in a steamy pile of shite in the bottom of my toilet. Go cry to your mommy about that

Oh wow...move to another school, great idea. Guess what is gonna happen at the new school genius?

Oh wow...sue him. That will surely fix the problem of those awful bullies picking on him

Friend of mine has a kid that has been getting picked on at school. Has been threatened by other kids that they were going to kill him in the past. Sheriffs office was called and that person arrested.

Today, he entered the gym and got sucker punched In the side of the head, fell down and landed on his hand and possibly broke it.

What would you do if this were your kid?

School doesn't want to deal with it.

Does this guy need to lawyer up and sue for medical costs etc? This isn't the first incident.

First, go to the Principle. If s/he won't satisfy you go to the Superintendent.

If s/he won't take care of it call the President of your school board. Surely to God that person will remedy the situation to your satisfaction.

If not, then sue the motherfrickers and force them to remedy it.

In today's environment schools MUST take bullying seriously.

If you don't think sueing the parents of this kid won't have an effect on the situation, then you're wrong.

If/when you had kids and you got summoned to court because you were being sued for quite a bit, how would you deal with your kid that is at fault?

This. frick that principal for not doing shite about it. Id also have some words with the parents on the kid who hit him. I don't have children, but if this was my child, and knowing my temper, this situation would end with me beating his father's ass, or his dad beating my ass. One or the other, but definitely ending is fisticuffs.

Seriously, ask them to strongly consider getting him some boxing lessons. He is only 14, once this kid grows he will be able to make those guys life a living hell.

I meant the next time he is approached. All this talk about changing schools is fricking crazy. Does running away solve problems?? What happened to standing up for yourself or standing up for what is right? Running away and hiding from our problems is not a lesson I want my children to learn.

The kids that's getting picked on need to learn to fight.

Bullies have been around forever, and like someone else said, they only understand one thing. Fear.

The fact of the matter is that the skaterate doesn't even have to win the fight. He just has to fight.

It'll end then. All the lawsuits, parent conferences, and law enforcement in the world won't change the fact that the skate rat kid has now become a target, and he'll continue to be a target until he man's up.

It'll end about two seconds after he throws a punch back in defense.

Since the skate rat kid is apparently not real good at throwing hands, I'd suggest a sucker punch to the least tough of the bad homres.

Nothing new here.

1. Go to the school board or super of the school.
2. Document everything in case you need it later.
3. Teach the kid how to protect himself and he needs to know that protecting himself is okay and expected.
4. If all else fails then go legal route.

Note: Fighting back one singl time will probably be all it takes. Bullies are pussies and cannot handle a good arse whipping.

I agree with this. I got picked on when I was in elementary. Then I busted one of the guys noses. The constant picking stopped (for the most part). But boys will be boys. They will pick, and get picked on.

ETA: I got lucky hitting him in the nose since it was my first ever fight, but the blood pouring out of his nose got my point across to the others.

Self defense also has consequences because the school systems are dumb as hell. You can get jumped in a school bathroom, fight back to get out, and you still get in trouble for fighting.

Great, so you stop one kid because you complained to his parents. You do realize that there is usually more than one bully, and whenever you knock one down, another will just pop in and his place, don't you?
