My kids chose the sole republics, dont know if they are better, just look cool and can change the band color

My wife had already boughtmy kid the chaper model of Beats for Christmas (the ones that don't fully cover upur ear). A few days ago I saw the Studio Beats and told the kid I'd upgrade him to those, just didn't see the point of headphones that don't cover your ear - they just didn't feel comfortable. After reading up on the brands, I recommended we look into some other brands. So we tried out the Studios and the equivalent Bose model, and as much as I went in wanting to recommend the Bose, I didn't find any major difference in sound quality (or at least negligible to a 13 year old). The Bose also felt a bit too fragile. Bose has enough name recognition even amongst 13 year olds to equate the coolness factor of the Beats, but the problem is that they just don't come in any decent looking colors. If there were a major difference in sound and durability, I'd have pushed the Bose. But if I were 13 I'd want something that looks good regardless os brand name. So I bought him some purple Studios.
