As to why people shoot 3.5s, it's all I shoot. I shoot them because I can and because I sometimes hunt in fields where I may have a longer shot and I want the heavier payload and more powder to be able to knock down and not cripple a bird. Besides, I'm already spending a fortune to be able to hunt why would I worry about another $40 or so on a case of shells?
Same Here.

you're wrong on both accounts.
Upon further review, I see that it is chambered in 3.5". Interdasting. Are you familiar with breaking one down? I watched a youtube video of a guy breaking it all the way down and it seemed a bit more involved than the Brownings. Like I said, I love the way it shoulders and would like to field test one. Anyone know if Hunters Run in Port Allen has any to test out?

Very. I have one. Push a button on the magazine and turn the knob at the end of the magazine. The Magazine and trigger assembly slide up and off. You're holding the barrel/bolt assembly and stock. Twist stock and it comes off. Pull pin on the bolt and the bolt and springs slide out. Push two pins out for trigger assembly and out it comes. you're done. Edit to add. The Vinci, Super Vinci, and SBE1 and 2 are all recoil operated so you don't have to worry about cleaning the gas action.

if you are using 3.5s for ducks, they are out of range and will more than likely cripple them. overkill more than likely...jmo
