Nothing tooooo surprising if you've been paying attention and getting used to sutters style. There were a few ways it could've played out (didn't see Gemma selling out Tara but Tara was certainly in jail by nights end for instance). Clay and tig both certainly lived - either what happened or Ireland were the two guesses I've had for weeks and even Ireland was just to stall this as a possible late twist last week.
Good, not great finish. Very happy with season 5

Loved how everything went down between Jax, Tig, and Pope
Loved what took place with Clay and Tara

Agreed that it was well done and well acted.
Tig getting the dog was a nice balance to the gore of Otto too
Very well balanced episode all around.

She chose against.
Now he can leverage it to control her, but also said weeks ago that Wendy would use this to get the kids. Two felons as parents cancelled out her drug issues.

I think that this was the best season of the series and probably the best finale. The finale is debatable for me, but there's no doubt in my mind that this was the best season.

On the surface it was a really clean writing job start to finish. Everything worked the way it should for a good story. Very neat and tidy final package in hindsight. Which is probably its biggest strength and weakness when rating it. Definitely more good than bad. Also had some very well executed emotional scenes. Only tigs daughter burning fell short acting wise otherwise totally on point.
A few times jax essentially has to get stupid lucky to have it fall into place the way he wants but I'm ok with that generally.

5th season was probably my second favorite season behind the 2nd season, and the season finale was probably my second favorite behind the one in the 3rd season. A very very very good season from start to finish.
