Stop pretending Obama is willing to compromise.

Well, how about this compromise. More significant entitlement cuts in return for an agreement to allow those small tax "increases" (actually, allowing temporary cuts to expire). In other word, an actual compromise. Or is that verboten? Most evidence that I've seen suggests that the tax cuts on the upper income levels do very little, if anything, when it comes to investment and job creation.

On entitlements, Obama avoided specific commitments, but said he would be “happy” to look at ways to “strengthen” Social Security and Medicare if Republicans agreed to higher rates on the wealthy. Actual compromise indeed.

This is true and few would deny it...so wonder why so many in the GOP leadership jumped on Romney's arse for saying that Obama basically bought this election? Obama's and the dems vision of America (the masses sucking off the tit of govt) only works when the voters are beholden for something. Doesn't have to be cash which Detroit wants, it could be amnesty for good anchor babies, marriage "rights" for gays, free contraceptives for horny women... pick your poison. This election was our chance to move away from this concept, if only a little, at least ridding ourselves of this socialist hack in the WH.
