I hope so.

It's time for us to leave and get Florida to go with us.

All you're going to accomplish with that mentality is putting LSU in a drastically worse position. We lose the reputation of a bunch of football crazed coonasses who will cross the world thrice in a day just to witness our damn strong football team dominate their opponent.

That is horrible mentality i.e. if you are a slave always remain a slave because you might starve if you are free.
If they did to Stanford (I live near their campus) no fan would even go a football game and if they did it would b to object to PAC12 conference.

When driving to east coast states, I refuse to stop - even for gas - in the state of Alabama.

My feet will never touch the ground in Tuscaloosa or Auburn, Alabama again.

Oh, and LSU fans should not purchase the worst visiting seats in the SEC in Alabama's overrated stadium.

It won't happen, but with LSU and another top SEC school flirting with the idea to leave the conference they have been a part of from the beginning should at least send a wake up call to the top brass in the SEC office. They need to acknowledge that the SEC goes past the Alabama borders. They live in a bubble up here

I'm not saying that we should sit idly by but the smart course of action is to hold steady and bide our time.

I only want what is best for the LSU program and the LSU brand and at this time the best thing for us is to support our team, keep playing elite football and most importantly keep playing elite football in the best division of the best conference in the country.

The only way I see us continuing our stretch of greatness is to maintain the same recruit talent level we have been achieving. If we don't support our team despite all circumstances that talent level is ensured to fall. Without that talent level we no longer compete.

How does us becoming Auburn, Tennessee or Arkansas help us or our cause? It doesn't.

I don't know what the answer is but forsaking these young men who give their hearts, souls and bodies for the sake of our entertainment certainly isn't it.

SEC headquarters need to be somewhere random, like Destin, Fl or Memphis.

I agree. Memphis, Atlanta or Nashville. And the seccg should rotate between Atlanta, New Orleans , Nashville, Jax or Tampa/Orlando.

Believe me not playing football at all is much better than being ruled by a bunch of rednecks. This is supposed to be sports after all.

You can go about it in other ways.

Sorry but not showing up to cheer for the Tigers is not an option.

That's just dumb to even suggest that.

Fail.

If you truly love LSU football and you truly believe that giving up our football team is better than playing and being one of the biggest contenders in the most dominant conference in college football then you are delusional.

The way we stick it to the SEC (since that's what y'all want to do so much) is continue our elite play, hold our cards close to our chest and then when they need us most either lay our cards down and bolt or force them to accept our bluff.

Not supporting this team is completely and utterly fricktarded.

Exactly, have demonstrations, put ads in the national media. you are fans and can do anything you want. It is not like coaches and officials who are not supposed to talk even if PP intercepts the ball and they don't give it him even with watching the replay.

re: If you're really p*ssed about the SEC

This football team has worked to damn hard and has overcome too much for some butthurt so called fans to taint their effort.

It isn't like this is a team of experienced seniors. A very large number of this team played their first SEC d-1 football game this year. They worked their arse off, came together and came within a few seconds of a national championship bid. I'll be goddamned if I give the SEC the satisfaction of me tainting that effort.

This team gave us every single thing they had this season and to not support them because you're angry at the SEC makes you a pathetic human being.

That's not even considering that this is the last time some of the players like, mingo Sam and shep, will ever wear the purple and gold. If you can't overlook your bitterness towards the SEC and college football for those guys then frick you. Go elsewhere because LSU damn sure doesn't need you and you don't deserve them

Disclaimer: this isnt directed at anyone in particular. Just a broad stroke towards all who advocate a boycott

Nobody wants a boycott, if the AD would grow a pair, if the TAF would use its money to go public, if we felt like our voices were heard, none of this would be on the table.

But as fans we have only one weapon, stay away.

Bitching on discussion boards has minimal affect, we have Neville Chamberlain (look it up, he was a wimp) for an AD and the SEC calls Tuscaloosa for instructions.

There is only one thing fans can do to move mountains, they have to vote with their feet. Do not go to the Peach Bowl (it will always be the Peach Bowl), do not go to Tuscaloosa next year. If the restaurants and hotels are vacant, people will listen. A lot of people make their living off traveling football fans, let them do your fighting for you.

Everything else is hot air.

Gumps got it the way they want it, they can just sit back and call "whiners" and "butthurt", hit them in their doublewide, knock the sofa off the porch, stay home and spend it elsewhere.
frick that. I am going to go to Tuscaloosa next year, and I am going to have a great time. So fricking what, we are in the Peach Bowl. DWI and quit acting like such a a bitch

I do NOT believe boycotting the Peach Bowl is the way to go. Why bite the hand that feeds you? They did choose us afterall while the other two in front of them did not. Boycott those bowls and the SEC championship game if you are going to boycott any of them.

Write the NCAA president, write your local papers and point out the conflict of interest in the SEC with the officiating and scheduling.
