True... But that's because we happen to be in the same Division as Alabama. 2010 they went 11-2 Auburn was14-0. 2011 they went 12-1 2012 they are 12-1 with BCSCG to play. They are 35 - 4....
this makes no sense since 2010, Alabama is 34-5

Even if that was 39-0, you would find people on here bitching about something. They're never going to be satisfied, it's a waste of time to try to convince them.

If the amount of respect you get around the office depends on the success of LSU football, you've got bigger problems.

If Saban had not been a complete failure and suck at being an NFL coach we would be playing for our 2nd BCSNC. But we would miss the great rivalry we have with them. Hell, if he had selected drew breea instead of culpepper the world is much different.

Losing to the eventual national champion every year is no consolation. We are supposed to be an elite program and elite programs wins championships when the going is good. This is supposed to be the golden era of LSU football and I can't help but think we've let at least one NC, possibly two, get away from us. So close yet so far every year. Damn frustrating.
List what YOU consider to be the ELITE programs in college football. Thanks in advance.

Word. Some people put way to much stock in football. Live your lives and stop being miserable fricks just because LSU won't win the NC this year.

when you get to the point that loses are more disappointing than wins are satisfying, you will be frustrated more often than not. Now, you're frustrated, you say its good, but... so what is your solution? Could we have won 1 or 2 more? sure, but a lot of teams could say that. I've seen LSU fans lament we did not hire Spurrier. do you think he was a great coach at Florida? He won "only" 1 NC. We are an elite program. We are in the hunt every year. We are a play or 2 away, while that may be frustrating, it also means we can make those plays and win. So don't fret over the past, look forward to the future. We are loaded again for 2013, have a great recruiting class lined up and the 2014 class could be the all time best in La. Future is bright.

People that post shite like this are retarded. The win at Bama allowed us to play for and win an SEC Championship last year. I guess SEC Championships don't matter to our spoiled arse fan base.

Over the last three years, we have the exact same record as Alabama. We've each lost to the other twice, and we've each lost once to an East team in that three year time period. We both lost to Auburn in 2010. They lost to A&M this year, we lost to Arky in 2010. That's the extent of all of our losses, a combined 68-6 over a three year stretch taking out losses to each other. To me, this is the best example of why you shouldn't let your panties get in a bunch about BCS national titles. Getting into that game is just as much about politics and luck as it is about being good on the football field all season. Just ask Oklahoma State last year. Or Auburn in 2004. Or USC in 2003. Or Utah in 2008 (remember when they beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl after an undefeated season). And, I could go on and on. What about that year that FSU won the title with the same record as Miami even though they had lost to Miami (1993?)?

of the three games we've lost in the past 2 seasons we were underdogs in all three. we also beat the favored bama in T town last yr. but i agree that win didn't mean anything. but that wasn't our fault. it was done to us.
