true that Sherman burned Columbia pretty good, but he didn't burn any USC's Campus it was used for the headquarters and hospital.

Who Burned Columbia in 1865?

We do have an affinity for Brig. Gen. Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard, CSA, who commanded the Confederate forces in Charleston at the Battle of Ft. Sumter. I believe Gen. Beauregard was a Louisiana boy.

Jim , certainly catch what you are doing there and certainly got a laugh but remember our Fightin Tigers are actually named after the Fightin Tigers who fought under Gen Robert E Lee. Cant forget our Southern Heritage there ole Jim even though William T. Sherman sure burnt his mark on the south.
