Or maybe he feels threatened.

do you act like you can't tell if a person is acting hard or not based on body language?

Were you taught to defend yourself if absolutely only when necessary? What if you are closer to a safe area than you are to the stranger? Should you turn back and face the stranger? I was always taught to defend myself if I was in a situation where that was my only option. But if I could escape the situation, that was what I should do.

i always get mad at clients for getting in similar situations or just plain old fights b/c they don't know if the other person is armed or has some boys hanging around. your rep means nothing if you're dead

It's speculation based off of his actions in an attempt to get people to look at the other side of the coin. Better?

I guess we disagree here. I don't think it is reasonable to turn back. You can't make an argument that GZ should have stayed in his truck, but Trayvon should NOT have kept walking.

I've been criticized to hell and back for suggesting Z'man used poor judgement, most likely. From all available evidence, it still appears he was defending himself from being attacked. Since none of us know, we can only go by the things we can see and it appears he was attacked. I can easily change my mind if evidence suggests otherwise. Using poor judgement isn't a crime.

Yes if the stranger followed me home. Anybody would.

yeah initially i was all in on criticizing zimmerman, but as more info comes out it seems like he didn't act completely unreasonable. did he act perfectly? probably not then it comes down to who started slinging hands, and by all the evidence it was trayvon

Sure I can, watch this. From his truck, how is it possible that GZ feels threatened? Threatened enough to try and follow him. Don't you think it's more reasonable to feel threatened in T's shoes than GZ's?

Yeah, it's how it appears. I don't know what happened after the confrontation started, don't think any of us do but I seriously doubt he will be found guilty of a crime unless new info comes out.

Why can't you? One guy was being chased while minding his own business. The other guy was chasing after being told not to, because he thinks black people in hoodies are suspicious.

he had stopped following him and was going back to his truck. how does GZ instigate anything in that position?

at what point? initially? sure T had to have been more threatened when T approached GZ? GZ almost assuredly felt more threatened

GZ staying in his truck or not has nothing to do with feeling threatened. He is free to enter and leave his truck as he pleases. He is also free to walk around his apartment complex as he pleases.

Looks broken to me, too. This information is being released in drubs and drabs to acclimate the animals. They are hoping to reduce the impact of the only right verdict in this case. The thugs and race baiters might not burn the city if they are given the truth in small doses over several months. But they are wasting their time in my opinion.

I don't think anyone is arguing against that. Of course using poor judgement CAN be a crime.

How so? Presumably the reason you follow someone is to confront them, that had to be something he was either trying to accomplish, or at the very least suspected MIGHT happen.
