well to defend Zimmerman, they had had burglaries in their neighborhood, he was the neighborhood watch, and trayvon was suspicious

trayvon's actions don't exactly defend his personality that well, either

According to the 911 tapes Z admitted he was following the kid.

His injuries comport with his story that his head was being bashed into the concrete sidewalk. Good chance a few of those will kill you.

there is no evidence that he chased him. there is evidence he watched him, followed him from the street (while the kid was behind houses on the common path) so he could tell the police, who were on route, where he was.

remember there were a number of break-ins in that community in the weeks preceding that event.

I know you guys love links here, but no link is needed for this one. The guy killed an unarmed teenager, he deserves to go to jail imo.

Well, you must have more information on this than any of us. I don't have a clue if he should go to jail or not. Good thing you are clairvoyant.

Yup.

And they when asked to stop, they show he complied. . .as does the evidence.

According to the 911 tapes he loses Trayvon and is headed back to his truck to meet with the cops before he hangs up.

re: Zimmerman back in the news

Things you would have to believe for this to be "murder".

1)You have to believe that despite the fact Trayvon was aware Zimmerman was following him, Zimmerman chased AND CAUGHT him. Odds Zimmerman had similar foot speed to Trayvon based on Age/Size. Roughly NIL

2)You have to believe that despite being only about 100 meters from his house AND being aware he was being followed, that the fact Trayvon did NOT make it home over the course of 3 minutes is NOT an indicator that he may well have turned back on Zimmerman(why would he do this? To have tea?

3)You have to believe that Trayvon made no attempt at conflict and yet the dude with the gun found himself in hand to hand with him rather than just shooting him.

4)You have to sincerely believe that bull shite photo that portrays Travon as tiny when in fact, every last one of us would've bet on Trayvon in any non weapon fight between these two. Only in race baiting la la land do people think the old fat shorter white guy(sorta white) is the likely winner against the young, tall, football player black guy.

I mean, I can't prove all of the above isnt' true, but there's gonna need to be more than a bunch of outrage over dumb decisions Zimm may have made to prove murder

The injuries Trayvon inflicted on him came before George killed his attacker. Had he not shot his attacker, the beating obviously would have continued.

Doesn't mean he is a criminal.

I have been skeptical of Z'mans actions that night myself but I don't know enough, unlike yourself, to think he should be convicted.

I was all about frying Zimmerman, until the evidence began to support his recollection of events that initially seemed so unlikely.

This is the biggest flaw in the case against zimmerman.

There is absolutely no logical explanation for Trayvon not making it home other than that he turned back.

I still think he he could have used better judgement, but I don't think he committed a crime. .

100% this. I don't think what GZ did was the correct action. I also don't believe (based on the currently available evidence) that he did anything criminal.

I am beyond that, too.

At this point, it seems Zimmerman acted reasonably. I am not sure what he should have done differently. . .other than NOT report someone who matched a description he had been given.

I have a serious question here. I'm sure most have been made aware of "stranger danger" and how to defend yourself if approached by one. What should the kid have done differently?

The opposite of what he did, obviously.
