guy AU may get.

This isn't a slap at Au, I just don't understand why fisher would give up a much easier place to win.

Actually, i want Au to be strong and get strong to split the talent with bama and georgia.

Just not understanding why fisher may be the guy. Actuall, pulling against it.

Declining to be interviewed and not being interested in the job are two completely different things. AU wanted him to interview. Jimbo just wanted the offer. Coaches at a certain level don't interview. They negotiate.

I firmly believe Jimbo would've taken the job if offered. The fact that he was asked to interview was an insult to him (in his mind).

What we've got here is a plethora of insiders on the board. Someone reads a tweet, message, post from somewhere and they have a friggan source. All of you can GTFO...

I don't believe Jimbo's at that level yet. Not sure why he believes he's reached that level.

That hurts, Rocky. You cut me deep on that one.

"I don't know a lot about a lot, but I know a little about a little."

I do know Jimbo would likely have taken the AU job had they actually offered the job instead of asking him to interview. That comes directly from someone who coached with him at LSU and told me before Chiz was fired that AU would target Fisher. He said Fisher told him his interest had already been gauged. AU knew he had interest in the job - not the interview. Thank Jacobs if you don't get Jimbo (maybe Jacobs wakes up and actually offers him the job w/out the interview and it changes things).

What do you say about the Kirby news? Your bama connections telling you anything on that front?

It's possible. I was stunned to hear that to be honest. I've said it many times, he's thought since end of 2009 that the Bama job was his once Saban left. He's turned down chances to leave based on that.

If he takes the AU job it means a few things:

1) AU missed on some coaches and other coaches didn't interview as well as Kirby
2) Kirby thinks Saban is going to be around longer than he's comfortable waiting
3) AU is paying him like an established coach and not a DC in his first job.

I still think AU hires someone else, but the fact that Kirby interviewed means he has at least some interest - and it means AU has at least some interest in him.

Yeah, spill it. And also, we are all glad Jacobs stayed asleep and didn't offer Jimbo.

The road to the atonal championship goes thought the SEC. NOT THE ACC. And Auburn has a dam good recruiting class hanging in the wings.
