I agree with the poster earlier. I would save child and I'm sure my wife would agree. If you save the wife the marriage is going to be hell to keep in order with wife knowing that she lived and her child died. You would be lucky to make the marriage last more than 2 years afterwards. Than you have neither one.

When I was pregnant with #3, I was 31 yo. We actually had this discussion due to a similar situation with someone I knew.
I told hubby to pick the baby ... and to make sure he/she knew his/her mother loved her/him. And when the time was right to remarry and make sure it was someone who loved MY children and to never let the other 2 forget who their MOTHER was.
I was asked by a co-worker how could I do that (female coworker). All I could say was that's what I would want.
Now hubby felt different ... you do everything possible to save both and what will be will be. He wasn't going to choose. Not sure if I like that. If both me and baby were to die, that would be worse than just 1.
Thank God that I had 3 healthy perfect pregnancies and deliveries.

strong maybe but what the heck is milquetoast??
ok .. no he's not bland or timid ... he's just kind of Pollyannalike in the way that "everything will work out" ... he's laid back as they come and at times it drives me N U T S!!

How much insurance is on the wife.
Baby might be a boy and if we have enough insurance he and I could buy a yacht and I could raise him chasing whores in puerto rico while marlin fishing during the day.
