I wonder what the full story on this is...that guy seemed pretty sketchy. Not saying he deserved to get killed or they don't deserve to be locked away, though.

They solved the 1985 cold case murder of my friend/classmate Tina Kristynik a few years ago:

DNA evidence from the crime scene was put into a Louisiana State Police database a day after Kristynik was killed. The case remained cold until January 2007 when authorities said they linked the DNA to Kennedy, who was then serving a life sentence in Georgia for a 1995 slaying in DeKalb County.
