We knew beginning on Sunday, November 24 that the little plan was far from a lock.

To attempt to put this fallacy to rest, look at the BCS numbers from week 13:

16. UCLA
17. Kent State
18. Texas
19. Michigan
20. Boise State
21. Northern Illinois

#16 UCLA to play #8 Stanford.... The only scenario that would have kept Kent State at #17 was the the upset, which we know as fact did not happen Friday night. Going into Saturday, it would have been assured Kent State would move up one spot.

Who would pass them up?

#18 Texas played #6 Kansas State... even if Texas won it would have screwed our chances anyway, taking KSU out of the BCS mix

#19 Michigan was idle, and Kent State had a reasonably healthy 0.04 on them in the standings... (you could make the case that there might have been 50-50 odds that they could get close to parity with Kent, but those odds are hardly worth hanging your hat on)
To humor you-- Michigan's final BCS was 0.2537, Kent's week 13 (before the NIU game) was 0.2512.

#20 Boise beat Nevada, but aren't getting ANY computer points whatsoever, so it was impossible

Who else were you expecting to jump them? Louisville? Northwestern?

Kent State was getting some pretty good computer numbers going into the championship game, ranked #15 in 3 of 6.

Sorry, but I don't buy it. I'm most disappointed that we're at an engineering school and all these insiders completely whiffed at a pretty simple statistics problem!

are you trying to be willfully ignorant?

multiple times people have posted why it was a longshot for everything the fall into place the way BVDV expected.

How can you still act like this was a shock? All you had to to was watch CFB Live on ESPNU for 20 minutes last week and it was clear there was a excellent chance the MAC winner would be in the BCS.
