Go figure with the lack of penalties called on Alabama.

It's been posted a number of times. Sabin's LSU teams were penalized frequently, not sure about the Dolphins, but suddenly he and his staff are able to coach error-free football???

No arguing there is a bias to keep Bama and few other teams into the upper tier. Looking at Bama's schedule next year, by the end there may only be 2 ranked teams there. LSU & A&M. Not bad knowing you can always lose 1 game every year and still get in if you're Bama.
Do the math on the penalties and you'll see the same bias.

There is a playoff next year in college football- only for LSU, though. Beat UF, UGA, Bama, aTm, UGA or UF again and you make the bcsncg if you win the rest too. The whole schedule is basically a playoff. Lose one and you're out. Not to mention- the chance of injury is much greater playing UGA and UF rather than UK and UT.

The rule in college about illegal hits on defenseless players specifically mentions the QB immediately after a change in possession (i.e. an interception).

Sorry I came late to this but I wanted to get this on the record. Your referee friend is wrong.

We beat Oregon, West Virginia, Arkansas, Florida, Alabama, they beat Arkansas, Florida. If everything were the same last season, the scores, the locations, only change the Nov. 5 winner. If Alabama would've won that game, you'd think we'd get a "do over?" Not a chance. The SEC, the majority of "experts" on ESPN, all would say, you have to win the big games. That is your only chance until the following year. Something I've seen on here lately, regarding our last minute loss to Alabama this year. It's strange when it only applies to one team in particular. Topic for another thread, I guess.

solid point, def would b an interesting thread.

..Not to mention the fact that fans are becoming soft all over CFL.....too much "oh gee they're throwing us a nice cutesy bone(d)" as
far as the *oxyM0ronic* so-called 4-team playoff..

btw, i just gotta say this cause i'm hungry & in need of caffeine as well:
if fans give this FAUX-FOUR-PLAY[off]
hi-ratings, it will be
another full decade b4 we get a decent / real 8-team playoff.

oi.

FWIW, I have a friend who refs at the college level who said he would not have called it. And he leads with his shoulder and makes contact with the side of his helmet.

That was a blatant head to head blow where he was trying to take out Murray. The Bama player should have been ejected for that. Instead the refs look away. I felt like burning down the SEC HQ's after that game.

It really doesn't matter. We should have beat bama. We weren't playing well enough at the time to beat Florida.

There are no longer any American Institutions that are not completely corrupt. This is not by accident, this is by design. And Joe Aleeva could call a press conference and light himself on fire and not a single frick would be given.

It's kinda shocking that sports journalist haven't already covered this. Guess they are to busy trying to get their on show on ESPN.

It's not really a conspiracy at this point. I think its pretty obvious that the conference has a Bama first mindset when it comes to making decisions.

A radio talk show claimed that Alabama had no holding penalties this year. I laughed when I heard it, but does anyone know where those stats can be found. I'm curious now.

Bama grads Mark Womack, SEC Executive Associate Commissioner and Steve Shaw, SEC Director of Football Officiating are doing a great job supporting their alma mater. No wonder LSU, who happens to be Bama's biggest obstruction to post season success, is the target of SEC officials trying to keep Bama at the top. In addition to Bama grads plowing the easy track for their beloved Crimson Tide, it appear the LSU Athletics Director, does not mind letting them screw LSU.

That would probably be a safe bet since:
1) The SEC office is in Birmingham
2) Birmingham is in Alabama
3) UA is in Alabama
4) AU is in Alabama

Doesn't make it some giant conspiracy. Where would you suggest the SEC office be located? So now you want LSU to leave the SEC? Where do you advocate them going? Do you honestly think that is in the best interest of LSU, a charter member of the SEC, to leave and join the Big 12 (10)? I swear LSU fans whine more than any other fan base. Just shut up and play!
