How our season ended and how we under achieved as a whole has me and many friends just depressed & sad. I expect we will handle Clemson pretty easily, but hope MILES will take a game plan with him unlike last year. FACT IS: I haven't gotten completely over last years fantastic season & to be beaten by how we were by our rival in West. Then we loose to them again this season. How does Miles deserve a 3 yr. extension? Raise maybe, but extension of contract was that necessary. We need a real O.C. hired and any other adjustments to get our OFFENSE playing up to par. Love Chavis to death, his defense is a joy to watch. I have the LSU Holiday Blues....I know I'll get slammed, but we are better than # 8th ranking in BCS. Maybe part of it is living in Birmingham and seeing their success in spite of their teams shortcomings, they have success year end & out and a good bit of LUCK and good COACHING.

We played the 3rd most freshmen in the Country and finished 10-2. I'm cool.

unusual year for SEC where half of the league is in the top 10.

just sucks that we got the shitty end of the stick when it comes to bowls.

A&M is the hottest team in the country and has the most momentum right now, so I understand the 'upper' tier secondary bowls salivating at the chance of taking them...especially an OU matchup in Dallas.

everybody else just fell into line, really.

Outside of 2008, I don't see how this can't be hands-down the most underachieving LSU team since the '90s.

Considering the injuries and TM, yes, I'm satisfied. We only lost two games and one was extremely close. Miles is getting better each year. I'm really looking forward to next year now that we have a QB.

Happy with season considering the freshman and the injuries. Actually, I'm surprised we didn't lose more games.

Not at all happy with bowl game.

Did we win the national championship? If yes, then satisfied. If no, then not satisfied.

LSU got royally fricked by the SEC two years in a row. I'm not cool with that. I'm happy with the team but unhappy with the conference we are in.

I said before the season that I wouldn't be satisfied with anything less than a national title. This team had that potential. Of course, injuries happened and such but we still didn't reach the potential... So, I am disappointed. Alabama being there instead of us just adds salt to the wound.

not so much disappointed with the bowl game as I am a bit with some of the lackluster performances. I'd have liked to see us be more consistent on offense down the stretch.

now let's go get some bowl prep in, shore up the deficiencies and whip these boys on 12/31.

Bowl bid? No. How could anyone be satisfied with a middle of the run bowl like the Chick-Fil-A bowl?

And with the way this team has performed all year against inferior competition, you really can't say this season has been anything other than a disappointment.

With a bowl win i definitely will be given the circumstances.

We lose Tyrann before the season starts.
We lose Faulk early on. Then Hurst.
Then we lose Williford mid Florida game. And MInter goes out on for one of the two drives FLorida scored on.

Considered we are a 2 minute drill and a fumble away from being undefeated (im a glass full kind of guy) if we win our bowl game i will be satisfied and i am pretty excited about next season.

Please explain these shortcomings. Because you just described lsu.

We were missing 23 scholarship players against UF. Id like to see bama be successful with that. We lost our most important offensive and defensive player in faulk and tyrann.

You dont go into the swamp and win under those circumstances.

I am satisfied with the season.

I am, however, a little disturbed by the fact that for the second year in a row, not playing in the SECCG has be benefited a team (Bama last year and UF this year).

Hopefully this won't be a trend.

No! Had LSU not called off the dogs and gone to the prevent defense against Alabama, they might well be in the national championship game.

Don't like it, but I'll live with it. Really no other choice.

Great talent, facilities and fan support. Shame that we had sub par coaching resulting in a sub par season. The worst part is that we gave a pay raise and are stuck with him for seven years. Great news for Saban and the rest of the SEC coaches.
