I don't think most fans should be lumped in that category. The internet tends to distort our perceptions. I would hope, maybe vainly, most fans recognize that we are indeed in the golden age of LSU football. We all hope for greater to come, but we actually have it pretty good.

Hopefully we will see some great Louisiana high school qbs who are SEC material. I think there has been a shortage in that area, which has had an impact on our offensive production. And the reality is that it is tough to recruit top QBs to schools outside of their home states. Not impossible, but tough. Most of the great HS QBs today, not all, seem to stay close to home, and we haven't seemed to have had one in a while in Lousiana. We will see what is going to happen.

Hopefully Mett will continue to mature and live up to expectations. If he does, a lot of the complaints will fade. And hopefully there is some real talent coming behind him.

All of us are LSU fans, some of us just have different expectations. Every year I am a little disappointed, but come fall I am full of hope thinking this could be the year. Probably a trend that is likely to continue til I die.

Chicken or the egg. I think that talented qbs were and are recruited, but Miles and co. has handcuffed them and not developed them effectively, but there is no way to prove either side of this argument. I remain optimistic, however, that we were more aggressive towards the end of the season and hopefully we have gotten over our tendency to play scared on offense and appear less capable than our players are, but again, that's just my opinion and how I've interpreted what I've seen.
