I was duck hunting with 2 of my buddies from the time we were 13. Walked down to the creek and shot wood ducks before school. Still hunt with the same group 10 years later and I agree with not hunting with someone I don't know. Anytime we take new people we meet them the night before drinking beer and sitting by a fire. We've had some no go's before and that was that. Accidents are just that, but can be prevented 100% if you just take a few moments and look at your set up. We never stagger, and especially don't shoot over anyone's head if they are kneeling down. Always know how far you can swing before you have to stop. Duck hunting with 2 or 3 people is very dangerous, and I'm sure these kids have done it dozens of times before and just got cocky. It happens every year and it is such a tragedy that these boys have to always remember. Prayers for the family.
