If you are asserting that you would actually pay $12 for a quickly made hamburger using cheap ingredients, I'm going to call you a liar.
That's just a load of BS right there.

If a Big Mac combo cost $12, McDonald's would be out of business and none of those people would have jobs.

Can someone explain to me how people with zero skills can actually do collective bargaining?

What the hell do they have to bargain with, besides the labor laws that force companies to sit at the table with them?

I for one would welcome paying $12 for a Big Mac Meal if it meant the people preparing my Big Mac are getting paid $12 an hour.

No, it isn't, but some people insist on getting paid "a living wage." In my opinion, if you insist on staying stagnant at a low skill/low responsibity job, then you deserve a life of living with several room mates.

They don't - they're like the idiots that voted for Barry and the Gang - too stupid to know how stupid they are.

They're being duped into believing that forming the union will actually get them $15/HR job with benefits etc. IN truth it will hurt the business and make unions execs richer.

Who is gonna go to McDonalds and pay $10 for an extra valve meal?

They won't. Because, you see, after they force through the pay raise, and then McD's raises the cost of a meal to compensate, then we'll hear all about what? About how it's too expensive to eat now in NYC, and how poor families have a right to low cost food. So then the good Mayor of NYC will pass a low placing a ceiling on the cost of a hamburger, and everyone will be saved! Workers will be paid a real wage and food will still be cheap, all through the miracle of government intervention.

But everyone will wonder where all the McD's went to after they closed up shop after going out of business. So good ole government will come along and provide for its people by filling the lack of McD's with their own brand of government run fast food chains that can operate at a loss indefinitely because why? Because they're the government, that's why.

A fast food shutdown should make Michael Bloomberg and Michelle Obama happy.

I remember when Taco Hell had the $0.39, $0.59 and $0.79 dollar menu. If you spent $5 people wondered how you where going to eat that much. Now its a "value" meal. Granted a $12 McD meal is outrages right now in 10-15 years it will be the norm. As above posters said if you don't like your pay find another job that paysbetter for your skill set.
