Maybe he should, I'm not the coach. His turnover percentage is actually much better than Hickeys.

Well he doesn't pass enough to have turnovers... I mean shite he averages how many assists a game? come on dude.

C'mon south don't you know it's ALL about scoring when it comes to PGs? What are you thinking

Look at the advanced metrics. Tarrants TOV%(estimate of TO's per 100 plays) is better than Hickeys.

Its a measure of # of turnovers / possession played. While they have similar turnover numbers, Turrant played more than hickey and had more possessions to lower his TO%

For assist percentage hickey has a very strong advantage.

With his low assist % you'd have to assume that it is because he doesn't try and create, which is the main function of a PG.

If you saw the team Tarrant was working with for about half the season you'd know why he had to do all the scoring himself.

yeah was just about to write that. which also shows up in his inferior assist/to ratio.

I really think the SoS rating (I know you can say that it's flawed but looking at it it paints a picture of all the stats) pretty much makes it clear that Hickey had at least statistically a better season last year.

I'm sorry, but I think I'll go with the PER for now. Havent really looked at your whole SoS rating, but I think PER is pretty highly respected. Never heard much about any Sos.

Have you ever seen the formula for PER? Honestly it is for NBA basketball where everyone sucks off top scorers. Not about proving who is the best PG.

Well they both play PG and I'd take Tarrant if I had to choose one. So not really an agreement, Hickey may be a better passer, but there are different roles of a PG.

Yes, I've seen it. It's not about proving who the best Pg is, it is about saying which player is more efficient. It says Tarrant is and I'll take the guy who is more efficient.
