I'm glad for the bump...someone on here the other day, Gutatta I think, was taking shite because he said that people were predicting LSU would go to the NCAA's...he just never provided a link to such posts.

I used to love going to games in the mid-80's. They went to the tourney every year and they were always entertaining. Not always top-shelf but always entertaining.

Amen BRAVEHEART. It really was the "Deaf Dome" back then and truly stayed that way unto about '93 or so. Hard to believe it's been 20 years since the best era in LSU roundball history ended. A fine recruiting class coming in next season lends hope for the future.

Well, we now know definitively were not that good. But I think most realistically knew that.
The question now is are we this bad? I think maybe it's a combination of... maybe some of the kids just aren't as good as we'd hoped and we're underperforming.
I can't think of a game yet where I've come away thinking we got the best performance we could have hoped for.

I can remember watching LSU lose to Indiana in that 1981 semifinal game like it was 10 years ago. I remember my dad saying "They will never win the title if they can't win it with this team". Little did I know that he would be so prophetic.
