"deanies seafood" in the quarter is very over rated to me, I much prefer the one in Bucktown. There are many others in the FQ that I would try before going back there.

May can be pricey on hotel rooms but summer heat has not cranked up, usually. Be prepared to shop hard for a good room. Good rooms will book months early for May. The ambiance & location of the Monteleone is hard to beat. If you go in the summer, be prepared for the heat. Still can be a great time. Lots of fun touristy things to do as a young couple.

Priceline name your price for a hotel in either the downtown or French Quarter zone. That will save you a pretty good amount of money. Agree with what Whizzanator said before earlier in the thread but there are honestly 50 awesome places to eat. Follow the food board on here and take some notes.

This is true and honestly every time a thread like this comes up it's hard to compile a short list because there are so many good places to eat. I haven't even been to probably 85% of the good places either.

Sunday morning do brunch at La Pavillon. 40 bucks a person and all you can drink mimosa's. Good food..not on the level of Commander's but a good time.

Stay in the CBD, take a cab to and from the quarter and still save $$. Parking in the quarter will run you about $25 a day.

It is a crying damn shame that the culture of NOLA is a major tourist attraction and the area is so crime ridden.
