Once the State takes upon itself the burden of taking care of ALL of the People, the State MUST reserve the right to make these kinds of healthcare decisions. It is NOT up to the individual to make these tough choices, because these choices are too tough. The wrong decision can impact too many others. As such, we depend on the Wisdom of the State to make these tough decisions. The State will properly decide what's best for the public good. An individual can't possibly be expected to intelligently decide what's best for the common good. The needs of the many out-weigh the needs of the few, or the needs of just one.

I hope that the State will have the courage to put these doomed babies on the Pathway to the Next Life, rather then waste precious healthcare resources on them.

This is exactly what comes to my mind when I hear stories of the elderly and infants being killed because they are viewed as no longer valuable or a drain to society. The Nazis were very good," health service" providers!

how do you keep someone comfortable who is dying and under hospice care....if you give them IV fluids, you are just prolonging the inevetible
Why feed the poor or for that matter anyone else who is not "productive"? We are all dying - every single one of us. So why not gather the limited resources of food and water and only allow those who are productive to utilize them? BECAUSE IT IS FREAKING IMMORAL same as starving sick babies is immoral. We get all worked up at starving children in Africa but you think this crap is OK? What is wrong with people? This crap is sickening. I am ashamed of "humanity" at this point. I have never wished bad things on people before, but I hope everyone who is OK with this is forced to watch a loved one starve to death and the are forcibly required to stand by and do nothing!

A very common hospice technique with the elderly is dehydration. If they have stopped eating, then you do not force them to eat. You administer opioids in order to mitigate any pain. But in general, hospice death by dehydration in this fashion is considered quite humane

Exactly, the same a-holes who are all for these death pathways because it is cheaper, are the same ones bitching about pre-existing conditions in our own health system. "How dare you deny me because of my pre-existing condition? Sure it costs others more, but i need to be taken care of. Let's just starve and dehydrate these babies to free up money space."

Non-State-Serving tissue mass should be aborted post-birth . Why should human life be supported via The State Health Apparatus if it can no longer properly serve The State? Forward !

Anyone who could watch a baby cry for water and not give it to him UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES is the lowest scum of the earth.

Or someone with proper respect for The State. As Marx so brilliantly said---"Nothing can have value without being an object of utility." If the aforementioned non-viable, Non-State-serving- tissue- mass is unable to benefit The State we have a societal obligation to be done with it. By any means necessary. Now, join me as we move Forward !

Which in Marx's atheist view leads one to wonder that if serving the state is the only thing that life is about, and then nothing after that, why not kill yourself now? Shouldn't we just skip right to the logical progression for the Marxist/Statist and pass out cyanide capsules to them now?
