It really should be 8 teams in my opinion:
Group A
1. Notre Dame vs. 8. Stanford
3. Georgia vs. 6. Kansas State
Group B
2. Alabama vs. 7. LSU
4. Florida vs. 5. Oregon
Don't like rematches? Deal with it.

I think you could avoid 1st round rematches rather easily. Then let the chips fall where they may.

I think UF vs Oregon would be a hell of a game. There would be a shite load of speed on that field.

Just flip 7 and 8 and you avoid rematches and get much more compelling football to boot!
