Feel like we're due a finder's fee on this guy.

NOLA reported on both

Swanson decommits Nola

quote:

Swanson, much like Thursday’s other de-commitment Chuck Baker, has yet to qualify, which has been a concern for LSU for some time.

Baker decommits Nola

quote:

Salmen wide receiver Chuck Baker has decommitted from LSU's Class of 2013. Baker, who committed in February, withdrew his pledge in what multiple sources claim is a mutual parting between the parties.

Yea I think with numbers like they are this year, and a ton of big recruits possible. Les is cutting the fat before it hurts us.

Both were grade casualties .... LSU staff is making sure they dont get burned with kids that are that bad off. Smart choice and LSU will get more spots to fit some great talent.

I was shocked Baker got an early offer much less an offer at all

You said the same thing about Jerqwinick Sandolph and he proved he was worthy of an offer this season. Baker is LSU caliber

Losing both Baker and Swanson sucks

Has he? He either redshirted or is injured.

both of these guys were not that good anyway.

I don't know....I mean Swanson is a 3 star, but they normally don't rate Fullbacks that high. He is the highest regarded Fullback coming up and we feature the fullback a lot. Seems like he would be a good pick up to me?

Not a whole lot of great talent left on the board that we really have been heavy on.

I dont think Foster or RSJ end up here.
Priest Willis is all over the place.
Artie Burns is one Im hoping for
Tim Williams ship seems to have sailed.

Leaving out Beckwith, think he is all LSU. Bain, a few others I may be leaving out, but as far as universally regarded "great" talent, I'm not sure who else is left.

Um, who do we have to replace Copeland in our system? And before someone comes in here and says "it's just a FB brah"...we need one in our system. Need I remind anyone what happened after Quinn left and how horrible our FB hole was. Copeland is like an extra lineman in the game for us and what happens if he leaves early?

Neighbors is progressing fine, and before I get too worried about what's in the pipeline, I'd like to see what walkons are brought in to fall camp.

That's assuming we don't go heavy after Cethan Carter for that spot, which I still think is a possibility. Everyone keeps saying TE, but I still think FB.

Connor Neighbors has proved to be more than capable. Still I feel like Miles will find somebody to groom for that spot after Copeland leaves next year
