I didn't see anything posted and if it has please delete:

quote:

Tennessee: Les Miles said during his press conference that LSU defensive coordinator / linebackers coach John Chavis would be a quality candidate at Tennessee.

So is Chavis a backup for UT & if he goes who's on deck for DC at LSU?

Awesome, then Miles can just promote a couple guys to co-dcoordinators. That would be awesome.

Or just move the definsive line coach to DL coach/D-coordinator. Works great with the offense....

He is or would be a quality candidate except he is not interested in a HC gig.

Miles is not pimping him, and it is good on Miles to say so - especially if it was in response to a question - which I think it probably was (I did not watch the presser).

What is his other option?

It's almost comical how anything miles says now makes these guys so miserable. I've never seen anything like it. It's also the same people.

Curious---did Miles volunteer this on his own, or was it in response to a question about whether Chavis would be a good fit for UT? If the latter, it makes perfectly good sense--what else would he say? If the former, maybe Les knows Chavis is interested and, as always, Les tries to help the guys who have been loyal to him.

their panties got all moist at the thought of Les Miles leaving. its going to take awhile for their teenage girl hormones to calm down.

IMO, Miles probably asked Chavis what to say if the question came up, Chavis indicated he was interested in the UT job, and Miles went to bat for his boy.
