Which is why Georgia won last year's SEC championship?

You do realize we're 90 seconds away from playing for the SECC and BCS, right?

I got news for you. Our offense is a power run game offense.

Holy shite we have a genius amongst us.

quote:

We are an offensively conservative team that plays great defense and game plans to be in it at the ens of every game and most of the time that is exactly what happens.

So Les has no desire to be a capable passing team? You are an idiot!

quote:

Those bitching because Les' coaching cost us a loss to 'bama this year are stupid. What cost us against 'bama was a PLAYER (Mills) not PLAYING his assignment and blitzing on a play instead of taking care of his assignment. This is a player that likely will play in the nfl but on THAT play he fricked up.

Lets see blame a 20 yr old defensive back or a guy making $4 million a year....great choice arse wipe blame a kid.

I on the other hand don't blame anyone for the bama loss. It was a great game and we lost. Now the fact we didn't show up on 1-9 I blame on CLM.

Can be summed up in three words:

He's.

Not.

Nick.

This has ALWAYS been the problem for some, and since day one have looked for reason to vilify the guy. That's not to say he's been perfect...no coach ever has been. But then that's the point, isn't it? Miles is seemingly held to standard literally no other coach is, or has been. We've got people bitching on this site because they are unable to see that other than BAMA there is literally no other program in the nation we ought to envy...

It's not debatable that Les has been more successful then Nick was as LSU's coach. The numbers don't lie. Les' problem was that where Nick was able to tell the fans to essentially go frick themselves because he was working on the process (and for the first time in the history of our state EVERYONE seemed to get on board) Les seems more affable and more of a target for criticism.

Truth is for some here, no amount of winning or championships or anything would make Miles equal to their long lost unrequited love now residing in Tuscaloosa.

FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!

Wow. Does not necessarily mean he is intelligent. But I can fry a pretty good chicken when I want.

And life is pretty good. It would be better if we wouldn't have just gave a coach a raise that I'd be shocked if we won another NC with. That's the real problem with our fanbase. Most are happy and consider 10-2 top non-BCS bowl a success.

Win as a team, lose as a team. Les made bad decisions in that game, but the players did not execute. Execution beats scheme more often than not. And if you're telling me he didn't have his players up for the game, I will never believe a testosterone filled 18-23 year old needs a 60 year old man to get them pumped up to play for a championship.

Well a good portion of posters on here think we should have a top 10 rated offense year in and out. we never will. Genius? No but sometimes pointing out the obvious is needed.

We are a capable passing offense this season (for the most part). That is as far as it goes for Miles' though.

I don't blame anyone for the loss. However, Mills did read the coverage wrong and that lead to the score - it happens but it is most definitely not the sign of a coach who doesn't know what he is doing.

I agree it was a great game, could have gone either way.

I disagree with blaming Miles for 1.9.12 - I think it had more to do with the previous 13 games than anything Miles or anyone else did. That team had one hell of a run and just did not have one more game in them.

I think mentally there was not a path to victory for that team and at some point no amount of scheming, coaching, or motivating can change that. Vince Lombardi himself in his prime would not have been able to get that team ready for that game.

No way this is serious. Exactly the problem with Miles lovers. He completely fricks up in one game in you can't even admit it was his fault.

Hey bud there was no gameplan to execute.

Some of these things are not Les's fault. Look at is this way. This season if we play UK or UT instead of UF as a permanent opponent we are prepping for our second straight SECCG.

Every year we play UF and get shafted in the scheduling department, there is a higher chance we drop a game to a top 10 team, unlike bama who has to get up for 1, maybe 2 games a year.

I think Ronnie Prude is still suffering from PTSD from having been thrown so forcefully under the bus by Nick after the last second Iowa loss on his way out the door to riches and fame...

I agree. I like being a power running team but we should have a capable passing game. by capable I mean be able to get teams to play without 8-9 men in the box. It is the weakness of out team and if we improve we will only be a more complete team.

I don't blame him for losing. We all know that it was 50/50 who would win. I did not like his gameplan or his choice not to see if JL could give us a spark. It is the only time I felt he quit in the 3rd qtr.

The root is, Nick Saban. The people who refuse to acknowledge miles is one of the top coaches in the land, view saban as thier guy. They wish he was still here and really think he would come back if les left.

has nothing to do with les. It's their love for saban. that's their guy. They like a coach who's chewing out players. it's miles #1 flaw in their mind. he's way to respectful.

I choose to blame the refs that didn't call the holding on the play. JJ took so much abuse for his play over his career BUT what people fail to realize is CLM kept trotting him back on the field.

Looks to me like they executed the gameplan they used to get there. Did you want them to come out in the spread and throw 60 times? Dance with the one who brought ya.

He is a great coach off the field, recruiting, player developer, etc.

But he is terrible when it comes to being an in-game coach

That's the problem many have with him.

What you have in Les is a program coach. You may not like parts of his program, but it's successful. He may not be the best game day coach (maybe not close) but he runs a very good program.
