I'm just wondering because reading all of the hate from our supposed "fans" over the extension for Miles would lead me to believe otherwise. Let's go back 8 years ago when Jesus himself, aka Nick Saban, was our coach. He decides to take on a new challenge at the NFL level with much more money involved. I don't really fault him for the move, but if he was truly happy here, he would have stayed. Then, in comes a little known coach from Ok state named Les Miles. What has he done since he's been here....turned down more money from Arky and his alma mater Michigan and WINS football games. He's loyal to this university and this program unlike little nicky who's all about $$$ signs. He wins, he recruits at an incredibly high level, he graduates his players, and his players play their heart and soul out for him every saturday. What more do you people want? Because I guarantee you when he retires, everyone will want him back

Unfortunately, the idiots in our fan base won't realize this until it's too late.

i think lm listens.
when dietzel says he wishes he would have never left, and then saban says he wishes he would have never left...wow, what a message.

but, i agree w/ op. les miles is a man of integrity.

wow, not seen much today.

esp by the negaturds who praise saban like a god and forget that some people like regualar people.

There are many who believe Les compromised his loyalty to LSU by asking for more money when Arky came a courtin'. I'm not one of them. I think staying here with fans booing and hissing at players and coaches is pretty darn loyal.

Most of the people on here are under 26. These guys were born in 1992 or so and don't remember the ugly years. Nor do they understand perspective or see the big picture- not just with LSU football out Les Miles, but with almost everything. As they get older they'll realize what a gem Miles is/was.

Are you saying Arkansas didn't just offer him more than his current contract?

I've read a few of your posts and you are one of the dumbest people on here. For you to say he is no different than other coach proves it. And yes, he was offered more by Michigan than he was making at that time here at LSU

Provide link stating Michigan offered him more than LSU.

Client- do you really think he would have gone to Arkansas? If you say yes you are basically saying he isn't as loyal as you claim. If you say no then it means he used it as leverage to get a raise.

You stated that Miles was just any other coach who will run off to the highest bidder. Arkansas offered Miles a shite ton of money. He turned it down. Yeah, he got a raise to $4.25M, but Arkansas was offering way more.

How is loyalty using the leverage of a notional offer form Arkansas to get a contract renegotiation?

Loytal is accepting your obligations.

But he only won 10 games! 10! God. Saban has 11. Saban didn't answer when Arky called. Saban has won 2 championships. Saban beat us in the championship. Saban eats little debbies. Saban processes his players. Saban's players don't smoke weed. Saban doesn't hate offense. Saban is so handsome. Saban Saban Saban.

He left Oklahoma St. to come to LSU. Most coaches don't take less lucrative jobs. Arkansas may have been offering more money but do you think it is a better job than LSU?

I don't/didn't want miles to leave. I just get tired of the praise some fans give him that have never met the man. Praise him for his record.
