Why isn't Braxton Miller getting Heisman hype?

The school was barred from bowls this year, but not individual accolades. He is a huge part of their success, and they went undefeated. Not sure why a linebacker or a freshman QB who went 1-2 in big games should win it over Miller. Just doesn't make sense to me...

He really fell off the last two games when you need to be your best.

So they fell off two games, one is undefeated , the other 10-2, those two losses being at home. I think Teo wins it anyway, but Braxton Miller deserves a lot more credit than he is given.

14 of 18 was surgical in the last game, given this.

quote:

Once JT Floyd got turned around by Devin Smith on OSU's first drive, Michigan was faced with the prospect of repeating last year's festival of deep bombs or giving Floyd help. They chose the latter, and chose to contain Braxton Miller at all costs. To do this they had to give up two things: the underneath flats and the guy in the box that can be a free hitter.

The results: Miller was 14 of 18. Avery blew a deep corner route on a third and long early and there was the bomb. There ended downfield passing. Miller's other 12 completions averaged 9.8 yards a pop on a series of screens and quick throws in the soft outside section of the field. Carlos Hyde surged up the middle over and over again, picking up 146 yards on 26 carries with no Michigan player available to hit. Stat of the game: Will Campbell had ten assisted tackles.

Manziel has a strong lead right now, and neither have a game left to impress. Manziel is going to win it

Methinks you underestimate the media's ND love fest and how ESPN works people's opinions, even those whom it should not affect (poll voters or companies/trusts). We shall see who the sports propaganda machine pumps up. I will say though, the Heisman Trust has been increasingly nice to Freshmen as of late.

I never knew that the best player in the nation, out of 120 Div 1 teams, plus all of the division 1-AA teams, had to come from an undefeated team.

Nobody ever said that man. The fact, at least to me, is that nobody knows if A&M would be any good if they had to play their backup. If Braxton was out, Ohio State would definitely have trouble. Who means more to their team? I think Manziel was important, but is surrounded by guys that are extremely talented. In comparison, talent-wise, Braxton doesn't have that surrounding him. Granted he has a couple decent oes, but he is the heart of that offense/team.

So Johnny Football broke many of Tebow and Cam's records, and you think his backup could have done just as well?

What records did Braxton Miller break?

No, ypur reading comprehension blows. I said who knows if A&M would have been successful if he were hurt
A&M is a highly talented team at nearly every position. Johnny benefited from having that wealth of talent around him. Braxton Miller did not have that same luxury, and while he was not a record breaker, he meant more to his team than Johnny IMO.

That clear it up for you as to what i was saying? Try not getting so worked up over other people having peaceful yet differing opinions than you. You might live longer there, Chief.

Your argument is pretty terrible.

Because Ohio State could be the worst undefeated team ever. That, and they have the 105th ranked passing game. I get that Miller makes plays with his feet, but a QB can't win the Heisman averaging 169 yards passing per game.

OSU played three ranked teams this year: #19 Michigan, #20 Michigan State and #21 Nebraska. They had to beat unranked Wisconsin and Purdue in OT and struggled mightily against Cal, UAB and Indiana (Indiana!). If they were in the SEC this year, they'd be on par with Mississippi State.

Because OSU didn't play in any big games. A&M going 10-2 in the SEC is way more impressive than OSU going 12-0 in the Big whatever your conference is called now.

He plays at Ohio State, pretty sure they have some guys that can ball.
