Yeah it only works when whole section is packed and into it.
I don't live in BR anymore so you can tell I haven't been to a game in a few years.

They still do it, but they also yell "SUCKS" after each opposing player is introduced, which kinda defeats the purpose of the gag.

The student section has sucked ever since they put it behind the goal.
Coencidently that's when LSU started sucking.
The 2009 season with mid court seats was awesome. Now the student section is social suicide.
I'll support LSU from my seat above the bottom weirdo section.

Student section has sucked ever since the Stromile Swift team. The student attendance isn't that bad compared to regular ticket holders. These students are just the quietest group I've ever seen. They are consistently outcheered by the visiting fans sitting next to them.

That was an awesome game! I was there, in the student section, my senior year. I think that was my all time favorite game to have witnessed in person. Couldn't have asked for a more exciting ending to a game, and on National TV againt perennial power highly rated UNLV. Thanks for posting this. Great memories!

This. I loved going the game when we had the good seats. Really disliked the move from midcourt to the goal. Student section was never the same.
