Oh yeah, that would make a lot sense. Les, which coach do you want me to bring to Arkansas????

More like, Hey you know we just had to fire a coach because of major personal defects, Coach X is tops on my list, and you worked with him at School Y is there any character flaws that I should be aware of before investing millions of dollars and hitching my horse to his wagon?

Hence personal reference.

Miles is so money he is guiding your program's future...helping them choose candidates

He was all like, "don't bother with an offer..but here is a list of scrubs i compiled for you that might be interested..they probably aren't though"

You aren't really this naive are you? The offer was confirmed by multiple sources close to LSU.

Your AD had to justify Les' massive raise somehow.

Be patient. They are trying to think of the next way to spin it.

And Long just went along for the ride because Miles was giving him coaching suggestions right?

I must of missed where Long was contacted for comment, because he hasn't been.

You do not call press conferences to shoot down rumors, like contract offers that do not exist, no need.

From what I've found out today, Long didn't troll LSU as much as Miles and his agent played the Arky opening off as an oppurtunity for him with Aleva (spelling?). LSU got played for a raise by their coach.

Well, glad to see you finally figured out the Long was trolling bit made no sense.

They definitely played it off, as they should have. Les deserved a raise for a lot of reasons. But acting like there was no offer is just silly.

However you need to justify it to yourself to allow yourself to save face.

See how that works.

I can only :smh: I'm not going to argue with you. If you think Arkansas offered Les Miles the job then have fun licking the windows on your way to school.

Because the AD that hire Bobby Petrino's mistress, then fired the best coach the school has ever had, and then replace him with John L. Smith knows what he is doing.

And you keep believing the John L Smith hiring AD came up with some mastermind troll that doesn't make sense. If that helps make you feel like you have someone competent in charge, go right ahead.

Although I agree, I wonder how credible you are as well.

How do YOU know there was never an offer?

Its no secret Arkansas has been targeting Patterson.

Why is it hard to believe that Arkansas has an offer to Patterson for 27 million and George Bass leaked that the offer was to Les Miles to try and force LSU into going ahead with the contract ext.

And why would Bass admit he leaked bad info?

I'm confident there was no offer. Contact was made to Long by Les's agent.

The delusion of Arkansas fans has been pretty muted this year due to the shittastic season y'all had, glad to see it's back in spades. Pure comedic gold.
