Personally, it angers me that they're too cheap to pay the credit card processing fees. I'm fine with a minimum charge amount too, but not accepting credit cards in 2012 is ridiculous.
What even makes me more mad is when it says, " no cash, ATM in back."
That is all.
I'm with you. Definitely an inconvenience. If you can't afford it, just raise your prices to cover the cost. People are willing to pay for the convenience.
And really it's just completely stupid when you think about it. They probably lose business because people don't want to be hassled with going get cash.

That's what we do, cost of credit cards is figured into our price and everyone pays it

exactly .. it's not really that much .. you just add about 3.5% to your margin to cover any credit card they could whip out .. then, if they pay cash or check, you just made an extra 3.5% .. i don't think people realize this is what virtually everyone that takes cards does with their bottom line .. you pull out cash .. they fricking LOVE you !

Or don't like the liability of having cash. If my card gets stolen I can cancel it and reverse fraudulent charges. If my cash gets stolen I'm just screwed. Plus putting everything on my card helps me control spending.
