Nothing but a red x. But damn, that is kinda messed up. You would think they would at least offer to pay for some of the rental, especially if they know some of the guys they are asking don't necessarily have a lot of money.

Wow, well hopefully it is a nice wedding. I've learned that the wedding industry is greedy as hell and hellbent on making woman into crazed people who think they have to outdo one another's weddings for the day to be "special".

Yeah, they are insane.
The fiance hates the fact that we are spending as much as we are.
We'd both rather do a very small destination wedding. 
Oh well.

If that is what you both want, why didn't you do that? Could have had very close friends and family only so it wasn't like you eloped.
I'm sure it is too late for that, but seriously...it is YALL'S wedding and no one else's. Do what will make both of you happy at the end of the day. You will realize the next day that some of the stuff you stressed about didn't really matter at all, no one else even noticed or cared, and you likely could have gotten away without it.

Then do that. I did and it was the best way to go for us. On the beach with people who really love and know us.

That is a lot for a tux rental
That's crazy high. I paid $185 to stand in one and thought that was nuts. Other I've heard were $120, $150, and the one I stood in.

This is also kind of a way for my fiance and the venue to showcase what they can do/offer. Gonna be lots of pics used for marketing.

Gotcha. We had to eliminate any extended family from our guestlist because it would be too many on my side so I can understand that. Thankfully when my cousin asked if his mom(my godmother) could go since my grandmother (whom I invited but passed away last March) wouldn't be there and I told him yes...it didn't start any drama with the rest of the family cause she was invited and they were not.
Still, with the wedding you have now planned, just try not to let others dictate how it goes. If something is really important to you and/or your bride, stick up for it. Good luck!

Sorry, must have missed something. Are they giving you a discount or something to have it wherever it is?
I wouldn't wish a big wedding on anyone but I understand once the checks are written, you can't go back.

If I wasn't so stressed out about his parents possibly not showing up I'm sure I would have focused on looks as well.
