Anyone who thinks saban has any loyalty at all is crazy. I remember him lying to LSU and MIAMI only to do exactly what he said he wasnt going to do! He follows the money

I chuckle when I see the folks in bama believing they have the financial stroke of the texas money. They ain't even close.
If they want saban they'll get saban...and there's nothing financially the folks in bama can do about it.

Well, Nick did tell the St Aug Coaches that if one of their players chose not to go to Bama, it wouldn't be because of more money, so they can match any offer for players or coaches.

Except match the offer. What do you think Texas would offer that Bama wouldn't match? $8M? Matched in a nanosecond. $10M? Matched with two phone calls. Texas isn't going to offer some outlandish number just because they "can".
I've said it before and I'll say it again, don't confuse your stereotypical views of the state of Alabama's economic condition with the economic condition of Alabama's football program and its boosters.

I agree they would probably match. I think the draw would be the larger media market that Texas has. In general, there is more money/exposure in going to Texas. Not saying Bama doesn't get a lot of media love too, it's just a different national market. Also, add in the fact that he could build the program back to dominance and he wouldn't have to play in the SEC. It would be relative smooth sailing to go to a BCS bowl and only face SEC opponents there.

We were looking when Saban came to Alabama and we can be looking again. It would suck but great coaches would line up to come in after him. Hell don't have to be great ; look what that idiot Les has done after Saban.
