Dealership ordered a new part to fix the ESC that showed in the code. They said it has a short in it and that system would NOT cause a skipping problem. I don't know if they are jacking me around or not because when they drove it the car "didn't skip."
Anyway, I have about 6,000 miles to go before my bump to bumper warranty is up and a new esc thing.
Thoughts from car people?

They just said it was a part that dealt with the ESC. Sorry, wish I knew. I'll ask tomorrow.

I'll anxiously await to hear what part was changed. My guess is the actual ESC module.

They replaced the traction control switch. That makes any sense?

The car is STILL messing up and jerking around at in town speeds. I dropped it off for the 3rd time today. I'm going to ride with the mechanic tomorrow morning because they haven't been able to "reproduce" what I was talking about.
I have a bad feeling they won't fix it without a "code" showing up.
Is the transmission part of powertrain warranties? It's covered for another 5k on the bumper to bumper.

Go to your local autoparts store, use their code reader. Write down the error code and description and do some internet research of your own.

Will do.
But it hasn't coded or shown an engine light for the transmission. Just slips each morning or if it's real cold.

Sweet, I think on the Chevy that covers up to 100k.
I'll never buy another Chevy again. It only has 30k on the Malibu.

Do the rpms go up and if you give it gas it doesn't accelerate?
