it ain't gonna change. If you watched LSU this year, what you discovered was that against the better opponents, our staff was able to come up with a solid offensive game plan and good play-calling.

Having said that, against lesser opponents, it is obvious to me that we don't game plan. Les Miles likes to line up his superior players and beat the other team. He doesn't care about how many points. He is content to play conservative and win late by exhausting his opponent. THIS IS WHO HE IS! He loves that kind of football. He is not going to change. And he does it well enough to win some championships. If we had held on to beat Alabama, we'd be in the SEC championship game with a return to the BCSCG on the horizon, no matter that we beat Auburn by 2, Ole Miss by 6 etc.

When we are very fortunate as fans, we have such a good QB, O-line and talent at the skill positions that we are able to pile up points in spite of a very vanilla game plan, and win comfortably instead of squeaking it out.

I do not believe that a new OC would change a damn thing.

Florida was not a solid offensive game plan or good play-calling except for the first drive

I would agree if Les keeps messing with the offense. If he were to stay out of it so to speak, then I think the OC would be an improvement if we were to hire someone else. Todd Monken comes to mind. He was an assitant at Okie St when Les was the coach.

Without taking a position, isn't something you perceive to be a problem that isn't being considered for a change the PRECISE thing you should beat into the ground?

it's simple, they game plane every week. You only like the play calling when the qb performs. when he doesn't, you don't like the play calling.

So, if the coaches knew when the qb will play well, pick the right wr to throw to, get rid of the ball quickly, then they would always call great plays.

i like the jarvis landry one hand catch play call. what a great play call, they knew the qb would throw it behind him and long so he would make a great play.
