If I remember correctly, 1 interception was thrown right to the defender - trying to squeeze it to a tight spot about 20-25 yards downfield, I think. One was caught by both teams but PHS came up with it - a deeper ball. The last one I think was under thrown, but that could be miscommunication with the WR on the route.

That QB for Barbe won it for them, though. Its true that they would be 3rd and 14 numerous times and he would either run for the 1st or stay free until his Receivers got open. He got sacked a couple times and the RB wasn't having too much success which is how they ended up with 3rd and long.

In Parkway's defense, Barbe's starters looked like grown men playing...they were tall and big (not the quarterback though). I was impressed that the parkway kids didn't get thrown around more.

I haven't seen or heard anything about WM. My opinion is that if they play traditional West Monroe football (with big boys pushing the other team around) and if they can control the clock (keeping Barbe's offense off the field) then WM will win.

Kris, not directed at you, so much as everybody. Friend informed me that Barbe football has a website where you can get updated stats and media guide, etc.: LINK

Looking it up, here are Quinn's numbers: 103 receptions, 1,971 yards, 24 TDs receiving. Fontenot's numbers: 222-for-332, 3,701 yards, 39 TDs, 10 ints and he also has 544 rushing yards on 137 carries. Galentine has 1,012 rushing yards on 178 carries and 15 TDs and also 49 receptions for 604 yards and 3 TDs. Desean has 38-682 and 7 TDs and Gunner Leger has 27-419 and 4 TDs.

Barbe averages 455 yards and 41.2 points a game, but they give up 399 yards and 24 points a game.

So yeah, to me it'll come down to whether Barbe can make stops. West Monroe is capable of holding Barbe below its average on offense. To me, it looks like West Monroe should be able to gain above its average on offense against Barbe's defense.

Quinn's are extremely impressive. I would think it's one of the best seasons ever. Fontenot's is a very solid year as well, but not a record.

Oh and at you assuming he'll throw for 300 yards against WM.

This should be a great game. I'm interested to see if Barbe's O-line can hold up. Fontenot is great at extending plays but under pressure turnovers happen. Just got my tickets today. Excited for the Quinn/Woods match up both D1 scholarship players.

I really think this game will come down to whether Barbe's defense can get West Monroe's offense off the field. The West Monroe quarterback is a great runner and will keep the ball alot. I also think with the attention that the West Monroe defense will give some of Barbe's offensive weapons that it will actually be some of Barbe's other weapons that will have a huge impact on the game, as you cannot double team everybody without somebody else having a favorable matchup!

The Defense has trouble tackling in the open space. I went to 9 of their games so far. They allow a ton of yards. The Offense usually out scores the opponent but I have a feeling it won't be so easy for them and the D will have to play their best game of the year. It shall be interesting for sure

Fontenot was really forcing it to Smith last year, hopefully he doesn't do it with Quinn this year. Gunner Leger could be a key player in this. Is West Monroe's QB big? Barbe has problems getting the QB down at times.

Not big, but strong and runs like a FB. Very hard to take down, as is WM's FB. He's not a bruiser, but rarely goes down on first contact.

Yeah, Barbe will be challenged for sure. They struggle to make tackles at times.

Well I just looked it up states leading passer all time is Brock Berlin with 13000+ and leading reciever is Abram booty with 5867. After looking at Trey Quinn's numbers he's got to be around 4800 so he's only 1000 off definately in reach seeing as he has finished under 1200 ydd any year and kennon is prolly around 8000 yds in two years as starter think he got a lil pt as freshman so he would need over 5000 yds as a senior probably out of reach on that one

But Booty started forever. Quinn might have the single season record.

And the way Fontenot throws on the run, I'll be curious to see how good he is going into the 5-6 hole, picking it on a hop, and gunning out a fast runner at first ...

Well he's averaging 285 PG so 300 isn't him having a crazy good night, for the person that laughed at assuming he may throw for 300 yds to reach 4000 on the season
